We are Nick and Dominic, a father and son team with years of horticulture experience and a passion for growing.
Welcome to our gourmet mushroom farm, nestled in the heart of wine country, dedicated to cultivating an array of exotic and gourmet mushroom varieties for Niagara and surrounding regions.
We’re far from mycologists and continuously learning but we are dedicated to what we do and grow some killer delicious mushrooms that we want to be on everyone’s plate. Our mission is to address the lack of access to high-quality ingredients and unleash the power of funghi by growing the highest quality product possible at our farm. We are completely vertically integrated from the lab to harvest, giving us the ability to control every part of the process ourselves, furthering our commitment to consistency and quality. Nothing is bought and resold (Other than foraged goodies). We aren’t brokers. Everything is produced, hand harvested and freshly packaged with care, right here.

A little bit of the farm’s deep cultural roots. It all started in 1802 when Ernest Martin was granted 200 acres by the crown. By 1865 the site was cleared, and two homesteads were settled where what is now the Victorian manor, a unique second empire structure. The manor itself that is still situated on the land was completed in 1880. With just under 30 acres of beautiful landscape, we are located in the heartland of the Niagara Peninsula. The site, which encompasses some 5 acres of Carolinian forest, is in the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and was once on the shores of an ancient glacial lake.
Although the barn used for growing our mushrooms has been restored and retrofitted to a year-round cultivation facility, you can still find the original, hand-made beams and dowels that are a testament to the hardworking farmers from the past. This land and Victorian architecture is the perfect landscape for visitors to get a historical glimpse of this beautiful region.
